Welcome to 7th Grade! 

Welcome back!  We are so happy to have you on the Red-Tailed Hawks Team this year and look forward to meeting all of you this week at Open House.  We know that we will have a terrific year together.  Please look over the Team Handbook carefully and keep your eyes open for continuous team and teacher updates through Take Home Tuesday folders.

Parent-Teacher Communication is VERY important to us!!!  Please keep in touch through phone calls, notes or email.  Take a moment to read the following poem as it reflects the importance of parent-teacher communication in a child's life.

I dreamed I stood in a studio, and watched two sculptors there.

The clay they used was a young child’s mind, and they fashioned it with care.

One was a teacher, the tools he used were books and music and art.

And one a parent, who used a guiding hand, and a gentle loving heart.

Day after day the teacher toiled, with touch that deft was sure

While the parent labored by his side, and polished and smoothed it over pure.

And when at last their task was done, they were proud of what they had wrought

For the things they had molded into the child could neither by sold nor bought.

And each agreed he would have failed, if he had worked alone,

For behind the parent stood the school, and behind the teacher stood the home.
